名古屋のデジタルファブリケーションのハブをつくりたい
2020年夏に名古屋の久屋大通公園内にオープンするFabCafeNagoyaのオープニングワークショップを担当した。まちのひとたち、こどもたちが気軽にデジタルファブリケーションマシンを楽しめるきっかけづくりをおこなった。
Creating a hub for digital fabrication in Nagoya
I was in charge of the opening workshop of FabCafeNagoya, which will open in Hisaya-odori Park in Nagoya in the summer of 2020. We created an opportunity for local people and children to casually enjoy digital fabrication machines.
参加者とつくり組み合わせる参加型インスタレーション
事前にグリッドを用意し、ワークショップ参加者はペンでなぞりながら好きな形状のパズルをつくる。パズルには、アイコンとなるイラストをいれることも可能である。その場でスキャンしデータにしてレーザーカッターで加工を行った。参加者は自ら製作したパズルをインスタレーションの一部として組み立てる。そうしてインスタレーションの一部となる。このインスタレーションは壊れやすく、また店内にいるこどもたちが自由に遊ぶことで毎日壊れては組み立てられ … というのを繰り返した。参加型インスタレーションともいえる。
Participatory installation to create and combine with participants
A grid is prepared in advance, and workshop participants trace the grid with a pen to create puzzles of their favorite shapes. The puzzles could also include illustrations that would serve as icons. The puzzles were scanned on the spot and processed with a laser cutter. Participants assembled their own puzzles as part of the installation. In this way, the puzzles became part of the installation. The installation was fragile, and as the children in the store played freely with it, it was broken and reassembled every day … and so on. This process was repeated every day. It could be called a participatory installation.
